The 22nd Leeds International Film Festival, currently the largest regional film festival in the UK, and one that I used to work at, has got underway, presenting an ever-eclectic series of films and events across the city. Very much an audience-led festival, LIFF organisers have been buoyed by the enthusiastic response so far, with people from across Leeds and beyond turning out in their droves to experience films that they would otherwise never get the chance to see.
